The Sundarbans is a vast mangrove forest located in the delta region of the Padma, Meghna, and Brahmaputra river systems, spanning parts of southern Bangladesh and the eastern Indian state of West Bengal. It's one of the largest tidal halophytic (salt-tolerant) mangrove forests in the world and is renowned for its rich biodiversity.
The Sundarbans are especially famous for being home to the Bengal tiger, a subspecies that has adapted to the unique ecosystem. The forest is also home to a wide variety of wildlife including crocodiles, spotted deer, wild boars, various species of birds, and numerous fish and amphibians.
